"At the point when we were leaving the inn, we were called upon and the mentor advised us to maintain a strategic distance from such. He would isolate us at whatever point he called up the group."
Khune turned into the best option guardian and later skipper subsequent to breaking into the Bafana crew in 2008, while Meyiwa just made his senior public group debut in 2013.

Happy Democracy Day Celebration.
I am humbled by the uncommon kindness of the almighty God and unequivocal expression of solidarity by the good people of Ebonyi State towards our administration since inception as a government on May 29, 2015, which is now six years gone by.
I am extremely delighted to share with you all the joys of this day of glory, the 6th Democracy Day Celebration in our great nation, Nigeria. We are grateful to the almighty God for granting our dear state such a beautiful day and a wonderful moment like this.
I thank His Excellency the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi, the leader of our great party for his leadership and unwavering stance to support what is just and noble for the development of Ebonyi State.
Today’s celebration would, perhaps, have been impossible without his steely disposition to always stand against all acts not in consonance with decency, probity and justice towards the unity and progress of our great country, Nigeria.
I thank the Caretaker Committee Chairman, APC Ebonyi State, Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha, the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Ogbonnaya Nwifuru and other eminent Ebonyians who stood to be counted with us in our hour of need. Your strict adherence to lofty principles and doggedness laid the foundation for our resounding success stories recorded all over in Ebonyi State. We are eternally grateful.
I come to you this day with a message of hope; I see hope with limitless boundaries for endless opportunities for all of us; I see hope for progress, stability and prosperity for all people of goodwill who are willing to contribute their quota in developing our state to a land of honourable, contented, smart, honest, diligent and patriotic people.
You know, the greatest expression of faith in our ability is to be strong enough to look upon our imperfections and decide that it is in our power to remake our society align with our highest ideals and vision of our dear governor, which is giving Ebonyians a world class domain called Ebonyi State.
We can pull ourselves by the bootstraps and shake off our current frustrations and disappointments that gave room to insecurity being witnessed today in our country. We are bound to disagree as a people but we must cast aside bitter recriminations and destructive predilections that are unhealthy to our Democracy as true democracy can only thrives on infinite multiplicity of ideas.
Therefore, let us jointly support Umahi philosophy, vision, sectoral policies and comprehensive programmes of action clearly outlined over a period of next two years.
Once more, Congratulations!

Court jails three oil thieves in Lagos
A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos State, has convicted and sentenced three men Edward Alade, Emmanuel Amqawei and Kennedy Segbenu to one year imprisonment each for illegally dealing in petroleum products.
The defendants were arraigned before the court on 3 July 2020 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on three-count charges bordering of illegally dealing in petroleum products.
The counts read: “MT MABOG, Edward Francis Alade, Amqawei Emmanuel, Kennedy Segbenu, Rapheal Odusanya (At Large), Ajuluwatan Abner (At Large), Okoro George Atang (At Large), Kalu Umeh Ikeng (At Large), and Okorodudu Lucky (At Large) on the 22nd January, 2020, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, conspired amongst yourselves to commit an offence to wit: dealing in 330 metric tonnes of petroleum products without appropriate license and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 3(6) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, CAP M17, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and punishable under Section 1(17) of the same Act.”
“MT MABOG, Edward Francis Alade, Amqawei Emmanuel, Kennedy Segbenu, Raphael Odusanya (At Large), Ajuluwatan Abner (At Large), Okoro George Atang (At Large), Kalu Umeh Ikenga (At Large) and Okorodudu Lucky (At Large), on the 22nd January, 2020, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, without appropriate license attempted to export 330 metric tonnes of petroleum products and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 1(17) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act CAP M17, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.”
The defendants pleaded “guilty” to all the charges, with Amqawei, captain of the ship, taking the guilty plea for the MT MABOG vessel complicit in the crime.
In view of their pleas, EFCC prosecutor, Kamil Bashir, called the prosecution witness, Remedy Yange, an operative of the Commission, to review the facts of the case.
Led in evidence by Bashir, the witness told the court that the Nigerian Navy, NNS Beecroft Apapa, petitioned the EFCC alleging that the defendants were illegally dealing in petroleum products.
The defendants were arrested on January 22, 2020 and handed over to the Commission for investigation and possible prosecution.
“Preliminary investigation was carried out by contacting NIMASA, and Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Yange told the court that the reply from the DPR indicated that “the vessel doesn’t have license to deal in petroleum products or have naval clearance.”
The petition, defendants’ statements, hand-over note of the Navy to the EFCC and the report of the DPR were tendered in evidence and admitted by the court as Exhibits 1-4.
Based on the evidence before the court, the trial judge Justice Rilwan Aikawa found them guilty of all the counts.
The counsel for the defendants, pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy, noting that his clients were first-time offenders.
He also prayed the court to fine the vessel, MT MABOG, instead of ordering its forfeiture.
However, the prosecutor, opposed the prayers of the defence counsel, saying, “It is standard practice that vessels involved in such crime should be forfeited to the Federal Government along with its contents.”
In his judgment, Justice Aikawa sentenced the defendants to one year imprisonment each on all counts. Their sentences will run concurrently from the date of their arrest.
The Judge further ordered the forfeiture of the MT MABOG vessel to the Federal Government along with the cargo onboard and any other property found in the vessel.

You probably must have heard this a thousand times, so you'd want to skip it but....
Let me tell you a short story!
In 2015, I thought heard of how to push my message to the world, teach what I know and create a following. I just learnt a few skills and I was eager to let the world learn from me.
At the time, the cliché was having an invite to speak about your area of passion at a renowned conference.
Well, nobody called on me!
I decided to package my thoughts and push it out!
I CREATED A PLATFORM FOR MYSELF!!!
The platform was what I needed at the time and getting speaking gigs was one of the ways I thought I could push and build confidence. So, I created the platform for myself, mounted the podium and started preaching my message!

What you don't know about the UEFA Champions League
You watch and enjoy the UEFA Champions League. You cherish the teams, and even have a favourite among them. You cheer your favourite team enthusiastically, and feel bad whenever it loses or performs poorly in a match. You criticize or praise the players passionately as though you are an official stakeholder of the club. What a scenario!
However, I bet you don't know much about the UEFA Champions League anthem. No doubt, it's a lovely song, and sounds like a religious hymn. But there's more to that.
The lyrics of the anthem were written by Tony Britten in 1992 (based on George Frideric Handel's song, Zadok The Priest). They comprise 18 lines in UEFA's three official languages: English (6 lines), French (6 lines) and German (6 lines).
The UEFA Champions League (UCL) is an annual club football competition organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and contested by top-division European clubs, deciding the competition winners through a group and knockout format.
Though introduced in 1955 as the European Champion Club's Cup when it was a straight knockout tournament open only to the champions of Europe's domestic leagues, it has since been expanded in 1992 when it took its current name, and while most of Europe's national leagues can still only enter their champions, the strongest leagues now provide up to four teams.
A total of 32 teams are drawn into eight groups of four teams and play each other in a double round-robin system. The eight group winners and eight runners-up proceed to the knockout phase that culminates with the final match, and the winner automatically qualifies for the following year's Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
Besides the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Champions League is indeed most interesting football tournament on earth!
